Can I use it from birth, and what are the three stages?

Yes — the Evolve Bouncer is specifically crafted to support little ones from day one, with the included newborn insert supporting babies from a minimum weight of 2.5kg. The three stages are what make this bouncer genuinely different from a standard single-use product. In the newborn stage, the ergonomic insert cradles your baby from head to hips in a fully reclined, supported position. As your baby grows into the infant stage, the insert is removed and the bouncer transitions into an active bouncing seat powered by your baby's own kicks and movements. When your baby becomes a toddler and can walk and sit independently, the bouncer transitions into a toddler chair, extending its useful life well beyond the typical bouncer age range and supporting up to 13kg. This progression means one purchase covers years of use rather than months

How does the bouncing work — does it need batteries or a motor?

The Evolve is a natural bouncer powered entirely by baby's own movements a gentle, natural sway that baby creates themselves. No batteries, switches, or plugs needed. This is a deliberate design choice rooted in developmental research. When baby kicks, their movement creates a reaction in the bouncer's motor-free design, teaching them that their actions have an impact an early introduction to cause and effect. The kick-to-bounce motion also strengthens little leg muscles before crawling and walking begin. Is it genuinely good for my baby's hips and head and how was it designed?

The newborn insert was designed in collaboration with a pediatric orthopedist and features ergonomic support in all the right places - M-shaped hip positioning and a specially crafted head support designed to help prevent flat head syndrome. The M-position where baby's knees are at or above hip level and the spine is gently rounded is the same ergonomic principle used across Ergobaby's carrier range and recognised by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute as hip-healthy. Following the advice of the World Health Organisation, Ergobaby recommends not letting young children sit in the same position for more than one hour at a time the bouncer is designed for supervised awake periods, not extended uninterrupted sitting

Can my baby sleep in it?

Babies should never be left unattended in the bouncer, and the bouncer should never be used for sleeping.
